    The aim of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding of the processes needed to install and maintain domestic vented and unvented hot water systems.

    This course conforms to the revised G3 Building Regulation.

    • Theory of hot water expansion
    • Principles of hot water storage
    • Design considerations
    • Components and function
    • Safety controls, discharge and integration
    • Maintenance and servicing

    This course is aimed at delegates who have experience installing, servicing or commissioning domestic hot water systems in the UK.

    The Unvented Hot Water Systems & Safety Course has a very strict course entry criteria that we must follow when booking places on the UHWS course.

    It is compulsory that each delegate MUST be able to provide evidence of one of the following BEFORE attending the course:

    * An existing unvented hot water certificates.

    OR

    *Hold a formal craft qualification e.g. National or Scottish Vocational Qualification (NVQ/SVQ) Level 3 in heating engineering or plumbing or BTEC equivalent.

    OR

    *Have at least 2 years' verifiable experience in either conventional heating engineering or plumbing (Written evidence required to support this statement on letter headed paper from a manger/supervisor)

    OR

    *An appropriate industry registration scheme such as Gas Safe Registration or OFTEC

    After completing this course, you will receive an accredited certificate valid for five years.

    Re-assessment is required every 5 years to keep the qualification valid.

    Re-assessment is for candidates whose qualification has expired within the last 12 months.

    The Hot Water Systems and Safety certificate is recognised by Competent Person Schemes (CPS).
